THE LINK BETWEEN UNIVERSITY AND SOCIETY FROM A CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Universities, as social organizations, require communication in order to materialize its distinctive constituent processes, among them: University Extension, Science and Technical Excellence, Professional Training, Human and Financial Resources, Material and Financial Resources, Defending. Accordingly, it encourages the population- culture interaction and a close link between university and society from a cultural perspective. This research´s purpose is to solve a practical problem with the existing link between university and society based on its cultural perspective. The group of actions carried out from the different substantive processes generated mechanisms, and in turn, achieved communication in all social processes they were involved. This way, the scientific and research development was enhanced by being multiplied and extended to society in order to develop and preserve its values and culture. Furthermore, those actions serve as guidelines for achieving a community cultural development from the community- university relationship.
