SYSTEMATIZING THE INTEGRATED COMMUNITY WORK IN RURAL MOUNTAINOUS AREAS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF REMEDIOS
Abstract
This research paper addresses the necessity of systematizing the experiences of integrated community work in rural mountainous areas of the municipality of Remedios.
The objective is to disseminate ideas aimed at systematizing the experiences of the community work in rural mountainous areas in the above-mentioned territory.
Concerning the methodology, the participatory action research approach was followed due to the authors' direct implication in the activity. In addition, other methods and techniques were used depending on the research dynamics.
The necessary conceptual elements were determined to clarify the object of the systematizing activity which is the integrated community work as source of knowledge. The main aspect of said activity was also established and it allowed the integration and training of the local social actors concerning the identification, acquisition, development, dissemination, use and possession of valuable knowledge of integrated community work, based on the dialogue of knowledge.
Systematizing experiences was proven to be a tool for knowledge management to promote both the integrated community development in a sustainable way and its role as a cross-section among the development plans of the municipality since it legitimates them through the participation and the cooperation of different social actors. In this sense, it takes advantage of the whole local potential with the objective of elevating the people´s quality of life.
