CONTRIBUTING TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE INVESTMENT PROCESS IN THE UEB VILLA CLARA REAL ESTATE OFFICE FOR THE TOURISM INDUSTRY
Abstract
The investment process is aimed at guaranteeing a high profitability in the companies´ operations. However, companies are exposed to a large number of risks, either due to changing market conditions or to development-associated procedures. In this sense, the present research´s objective is to define a group of actions aimed at improving the investment process in the UEB Villa Clara real estate office for the tourism industry, based on the combination of the risk management´s defining elements. Accordingly, group work techniques such as brainstorming, interviews, risk management techniques and document review were used. As to the main result, the necessary preventive actions to be carried out in order to minimize the risk associated with each failure identified in the sub-processes (pre-investment, execution and exploitation) are announced, as well as the person responsible for their performance and the frequency of their execution. Furthermore, the estimation of the potential impact that these actions will have on the performance of the studied process is presented. The research allowed to solve a real problem and provide the company with solutions to the detected deficiencies in the risks analysis of the investment process. In addition, the risk prevention plan is updated as part of this process.
