They are an essential part of daily life, present in the relationships between the indigenous culture and the physical, historical, economic and social context. The ethnographic method was used, so that the permanence of popular characters in historical memory and their preservation in everyday life was collected as faithfully as possible.
As a result of the research, a written compendium was obtained about the different characters and their peculiarities according to the time. It was placed in the hands of specialists in the culture sector, which allowed the dissemination of both the distinctive characteristics of a part of the Traditional-Popular Culture of the locality and the information for its preservation.
Overall, the practical application of the result was observed in the territorial context since the municipality has numerous communities and settlements where popular characters are part of their culture, and through the work of cultural institutions, different activities were carried out that contributed to promoting Traditional-Popular Culture as a distinctive element of each place in the municipality. Art instructors and specialists from the cultural centers played a fundamental role in the dissemination of the research results.
