AN ETHICS EDUCATION STRATEGY IN THE STUDENT RESIDENCE OF SANCTI SPIRITUS UNIVERSITY
Abstract
Granting a scholarship in the University Student Residence (USR) in “José Martí Pérez University” is a benefit offered by this institution to officially registered national and foreign students to facilitate their studies. The results of the implementation and validation of an
educational strategy in the University "José Martí Pérez" of Sancti Spíritus, from the educational project and the curriculum are presented in this paper. This strategy´s objective is to contribute by means of the systematic, instructive-educational work, to instill an appropriate behavior in students, allowing both, students and professors, to live in harmony and in a stable environment. The methods and procedures used were the characterization, the observation and participation techniques for each situation, as well as self-evaluation and hetero - evaluation.
The results obtained in the University "José Martí Pérez" of Sancti Spíritus demonstrate the effectiveness of the strategy, as well as the necessity of a positive coexistence, based on learning how to live together by better knowing each other and by respecting each other´s history, traditions and spirituality. All in all, the strategy contributes to the formation of Cuban professionals interested in traditions, history, courtesy and the respect for diversity.
