LA CAPACITACIÓN DEL DOCENTE, UNA NECESIDAD IMPOSTERGABLE/TEACHER TRAINING, AN UNPOSTPONABLE NEED

Introduction: The study carried out highlights the actions undertaken at "Panchito Gómez Toro" University campus in Jatibonico, in the project "Teacher Training", aimed at promoting its development in order to stimulate scientific and technological research; one of its missions is to procure academic excellence and the development of university extension and research.
Objective: To assess the impact of training teachers to work with local development projects at “Panchito Gómez Toro” campus in the Municipality of Jatibonico.
Methods: Methods and techniques used were: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical, scientific observation, surveys and interviews.
Results: The proposed training is aimed at mitigating the deficiencies in the execution and knowledge of the methodology of local development projects presented by teachers, which is distinguished by the application of certain procedures, applied from the functions of organization, planning, execution and control.
Conclusions: Training responds to the needs of a concrete historical nature, in view of the new challenges and demands imposed by society as a whole, the need for continuous training to achieve a well-prepared teacher, which implies promoting proposals aimed at meeting the demands of society, which requires their comprehensive training to assume the responsibility of educating new generations.
