EL PROFESOR DEPORTIVO Y SU PREPARACIÓN ANTE LA DISMINUCIÓN DE LA POBLACIÓN INFANTIL / SPORTS TEACHERS AND THEIR PREPARATION IN THE FACE OF THE CHILD POPULATION DECREASE

Abstract

Introduction: The sports teacher must know and interpret his field of action, recreate what he thought and elaborate a personal way of guiding and facilitating the learning processes, adapting flexibly to the context in which he acts.

Objective: To socialize the implementation of training actions that allow raising the preparation of sports teachers in the Sancti Spíritus province.

Methods: In the investigation, the methods of the theoretical level were used, - historical-logical, analysis, synthesis, systemic-structural approach and modeling, in the empirical order, the analysis of documents, the interview, the surveys and the methodological triangulation.

Results: In the characterization of the preparation of the sports teacher to guarantee the continuity of sports education in the face of the decrease in the child population In the territory, two dimensions and seven indicators were identified to explore the educational and sports reality with an investigative approach, which allowed determining the implementation of training actions that contributed to raising the level of preparation of these professionals to assume the sports teaching process without affectations.

Conclusions: The decrease in the child population in the Sancti Spíritus province affects teaching in sports education, consequently, sports teachers show limitations in their preparation, and the information necessary for decision-making is insufficient in order to counteract the effects of this population decline.
